New Orleans Citizen Diplomacy Council (NOCDC) facilitates professional and personal contacts with International leaders while in the New Orleans Area.

Internships with our Council

A great way to learn and grow!

New Orleans Citizen Diplomacy Council offers internships to university graduate students majoring in International Relations, Political Science, Communications, Non-Profit Management or related fields. Interns must be available to work in the office at least 2-3 days per week, for 4 hours per day; a one-semester commitment is preferred. College credit may be arranged in coordination with the appropriate department head.

Responsibilities of an intern:

Assist with administrative and programming tasks.
Research and call available community resources required to complete a visitor's program.
Compile information for monthly newsletter
Help volunteer programmers when needed

Interns should have excellent communication, people, and writing skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. For interns wanting to maximize their cross-cultural experience, ownership of a car is necessary for meeting and accompanying international visitors to professional appointments.
